Sharing Ministry

4360 Bowden St., Frisco City, AL 36445

The purpose of the Bethlehem Baptist Association Sharing Ministry is to provide assistance to the people in Monroe and surrounding counties.  The Sharing Ministry offers clothing and other items as needed for those who have:

Experienced loss of income and/or have become victims of a burn-out, a disaster, an extended illness, loss of a loved one, and other needs as they are evaluated.  We do not distribute any food items.

We do not pay utility bills or rent.  No moneys are dispersed from the Sharing Ministry building or from the associational office to meet those needs.

A part of the Sharing Ministry is
The Emergency Assistance Ministry

The purpose of The Emergency Assistance Ministry is to meet the needs of those who have:

Experienced burnouts
Become victims of abuse
Become victims of  natural disaster
Any other crisis as they are evaluated

No moneys are dispersed from the Sharing Ministry building or from the associational office to meet those needs.

The Sharing Ministry and the Emergency Assistance Ministry receives contributions from individuals, churches, and civic groups in the form of clothing, housewares, furniture, appliances, etc.  Monetary assistance may also be received from the same sources.  Volunteers are always needed.

The Sharing Ministry and Emergency Assistance Ministry cooperates with referrals from the Depatment of Human Resources, Community Action, Red Cross, our local churches, and the associational office.

We seek to minister not only to the physical needs of persons, but to also introduce them to Christ who can meet their spiritual needs as well.

“When the Son of Man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”  (Matthew 25:31-40)
